With the spread of COVID-19, Ohio Hills Midwifery has made some changes to help ensure safe care protocols for pregnant clients. Please remember, these changes are not just for your safety, but that of the midwives and other pregnant families as well. Below is a current summary of these changes.

  • Clients are asked to cancel their scheduled appointment if anyone in their household has any COVID-19 symptoms (this includes cough, fever/chills, difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea) or if they have reason to believe a member of their household may have been exposed to COVID-19.

  • All office appointments are now stagger scheduled so there is no overlap or contact between clients. There will only ever be one client/family in the office at any given time.

  • All appointments not requiring a clinical component will be done by phone for all non-Amish clients. This includes all initial consultations and postpartum visits beyond the first week postpartum.
